The Indian Shoe – Sioux in Walheim

For the SWR series "made in Südwest", a film team accompanied Sioux for ten days of shooting. The result is an approximately 30-minute documentary about the brand's history, the Grashopper, and the people behind Sioux.

The documentary was made on the occasion of Sioux's 60th anniversary at the time and leads to Walheim am Neckar, where the brand has been at home for decades. It shows how tradition, craftsmanship, high-quality materials, and a special understanding of fit and comfort have shaped Sioux.

Sioux on "made in Südwest"

With the "made in Südwest" series, SWR portrays special companies and economic success stories from Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate. The Sioux episode focuses on the journey of a Swabian shoe brand that became known far beyond the region with the Grashopper.

A special chapter in Sioux's recent history is also included: at the opening ceremony of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, the German team wore shoes from Sioux.
