From design to shoe
The shoe development process begins with an idea. Before materials, colors, or soles are selected, the desired shape, appearance, and function of a new model are determined. Current color and fashion trends are incorporated, as are the needs of Sioux customers.
Initial designs are created as hand sketches on paper or digitally on the computer. Even in this early phase, a great deal of experience in shoe technology, proportions, and design is required. A drawing must later become a shoe that is wearable, durable, and comfortable.
Design and comfort go hand in hand
Good shoe design at Sioux doesn't end with the external shape. Every line, every seam, and every detail must match the shoe's function. That's why model development considers aspects like flexibility, support, entry, sole construction, and material processing from the very beginning.

Subsequently, designs are transferred to plastic last casts to better assess shape, proportions, and details.
This provides a realistic impression of the future shoe early on. Materials, decorative elements, seams, and functional details are checked and coordinated.
