How do I determine my shoe size?
You can easily determine your shoe size at home with just a few tools. All you need is a piece of paper, a pen, a ruler or tape measure, and your foot. For the most accurate result, you should measure both feet and then use the larger foot as a guide.
When should you measure your foot length?
It's best to measure your feet in the afternoon or evening. Throughout the day, they can get a little larger due to movement and strain.
Since the left and right foot often differ slightly, you should always measure both feet and use the larger value to determine your shoe size.
Measuring foot length correctly
-
Place your foot
Place a piece of paper on a flat surface and stand on it. Distribute your weight as evenly as possible on both feet. To prevent the paper from slipping, you can secure it with tape.
-
Trace your foot
Trace the outline of your foot. Hold the pen as vertically as possible and close to your foot.
-
Measure foot length
Then measure the distance from your heel to your longest toe. Repeat the measurement for the second foot.

Calculate shoe size
For adequate space in the shoe, 1.5 cm is added to the measured foot length.
For European shoe size according to the French point system:
EU shoe size = (foot length + 1.5 cm) ÷ 0.667
Example: If the foot length including allowance is 29 cm, this corresponds approximately to shoe size EU 43.5.
For UK shoe size:
UK shoe size = ((foot length + 1.5 cm) × 3 ÷ 2.54) – 25
For 29 cm, this results in approximately UK 9.25. The corresponding half size would be UK 9.5.
Use shoe size chart
Sioux carries many models in half UK sizes. In our [shoe size chart], you can easily convert your determined shoe size into the respective sizing system.
In addition to shoe size, shoe width can also be crucial for the right fit. You can find out how to determine this under [How do I determine my shoe width?].
